Staff Coaching (group)

Teachers have a duty to address the variety within the community, not solely focusing on the dominant mainstream culture. I offer extensive assistance and professional growth opportunities to classroom educators in promoting culturally responsive teaching. Using research-backed methods aims to establish significant links between students' learning in school and their cultural backgrounds, languages, and life encounters. I collaborate closely with teachers to enhance instructional methods, aid in designing lessons, deliver instruction effectively, strategize to engage all learners, analyze data, and map out the curriculum.

Equity Walk

Equity walks involve a thorough examination of a school area to ensure that it provides equal opportunities for all students and parents. The goal is to assess the school environment, analyze various data points (such as achievement, suspensions, referrals, and AP class student selection), and observe classrooms to gauge whether the setting fosters success for every student. Additionally, discipline policies, communication methods with parents (including language translation), and school procedures are scrutinized for consistency, inclusivity, and equity.
